Airbag / SRS Diagnostics

The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) includes airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, crash sensors, and related modules. A warning light indicates a potential fault, but proper diagnosis requires analyzing wiring, connectors, crash sensors, and the control module.

We follow OEM diagnostics procedures to identify the root cause of faults, including scanning for stored DTCs, verifying sensor and module communication. Diagnostics may be required after collisions, component replacements, or when warning lights appear. Accurate diagnostics prevent unnecessary part replacement and ensure the SRS system functions as designed.

Why it’s important:
A malfunctioning airbag system is a severe safety hazard. Correct diagnosis ensures that airbags and safety components are ready to deploy when needed, protecting occupants and maintaining regulatory compliance.
